Home from Home
Our boarding service is very special. We offer a truly unique home from home boarding experience with our guests living with us as part of the family - we are not boarding kennels. We have our own black Labrador (the eponymous Hendrix Teal) who is super chilled and is a working gun-dog. He has also worked with many nervous dogs to help them gain confidence as part of our dog training business.
Is my dog suitable for Home Boarding?
Home boarding is best for dogs who are friendly, well socialised and enjoy living as part of a family. We board dogs that are:
· House trained
· Up to date with vaccinations (including kennel cough), flea and worming treatment.
· Friendly and sociable with people and other dogs
Your booking is with us in our own home, we are not an agent that places dogs with a random carer.
Dogs come in all shapes and sizes
We can accommodate dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. We can also accept un-neutered dogs providing they are not aggressive towards other dogs.
· Experienced dog owners (Sara is an IMDT accredited Dog Trainer)
· Licensed by the local authority (5 Star Higher Standards Licence)
· Fully insured
· Qualified pet first aiders
· Accredited with Pet Professional Guild and Pet Professional Network
How does it work?
First step would be to drop us a message and let us know a bit about you, your dog and your requirements/dates etc.
We will then arrange a free "sniffing-out" session for you and your dog to come over and meet us, have a look around our home and ask any questions.
For stays in excess of 3 nights, we will book your dog in for a 1 night "sleep over" so they can have a trial night to ensure they are happy and settled.
For any stay, regardless of duration, we will discuss with you any specific requirements, whether that be regarding food or excercise or just favourite toys/treats etc.
Wedding Chaperone Service
We also offer a wedding chaperone service.
We can bring your dog to your wedding venue for a fixed amount of time, help with arranging the photos and even dressing up, then bring your dog back to our home for their boarding stay (either just for your wedding night or during your honeymoon)
